• By combining classical piano training and the fundamentals of ABA the Innovative Piano Technique has given special needs students the opportunity to learn how to play the piano.

 

Classical piano training includes traditional techniques such as; learning scales, chords, songs, correct fingering and teaching the skill of reading sheet music.  

 

ABA fundamentals used in the Innovative Piano Technique include errorless teaching, prompting, shadowing, the use of token boards, generalizing skills and the systematic fading of various prompts.
