Benjamin Brandenburger

My name is Benjamin Brandenburger and I have been playing piano since I was 3 years old. I was classically trained for eight years before I started my training in jazz piano at the age of 12.

In 2013 I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance and Jazz & Contemporary Music studies at The New School University in New York City. Between 2012 and 2020 I have been a touring musician, producer and composer operating out of my NYC - based music publishing company ‘Reyab Arts’.

I have toured internationally and nationally with several self-launched music projects ranging from seven to 18 musicians. At the same time, I have been continuously teaching music theory, composition and piano to children and young adults in Germany, where I grew up and in New York City, where I have been residing since 2009. Currently I am enrolled in a Master of Music program at the Conservatory of Purchase in Upstate New York where I specialize in classical composition and film scoring.

I am currently in the final round of consideration for a continued graduate education at the Royal College of Music in London and Yale School of Music in New Haven. I would be thrilled to convey my passion for music to young minds, further advancing and informing their pursuit in the arts. Furthermore, I savor great passion and fulfillment working with children as I always seemed to have clicked with the way their unbiased and observant instincts forge and invent.
