Cheung works with children from ages 4 and above, and caters each class to the student's learning style, goals, and musical interests. Her additional background in classical violin, contemporary and rock guitar, and jazz saxophone enables her to incorporate a variety of genres and styles into her lessons.

Furthermore, Cheung emphasizes basic music theory and technique so that her students become well-rounded, knowledgeable musicians. She has successfully prepared students for recitals, performance program college auditions, and exams such as NYSSMA. Cheung aims to cultivate a positive and empowering learning environment in which her students will gain greater confidence, joy, and accomplishment.
